A graduate of the École du Louvre and a member of the Taylor Foundation founded in 1844, Angelo Pioppo is a French artist whose promising talent has attracted the attention of the public and collectors.
Fuelled by many travels around the globe, his art takes various forms: painting, drawing, photography... Angelo Pioppo began his career as a photographer-reporter, then pursued his creative passion and began painting and drawing.
From Cuba to the Mauritanian Sahara, through the United States and South Africa, he makes Nature and cultures that he meets his main source of inspiration. He creates a work of a thousand colours populated by mythical characters that he discovers during his travels.
Inspired by the forerunners of Contemporary Art, particularly the fathers of Pop Art and Neo-expressionism in New York, Angelo Pioppo perpetually pays tribute to them through original, expressive and structured creations.
He revisits Andy Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Soup Cans for instance, adapting them to the most contemporary issues and denouncing the excesses of the consumer society in the 21st century.
Angelo Pioppo's ultra-coloured and uncompromising painting is imbued with a certain transgression that invites the viewer to reflect and daydream.
All works of art will be delivered rolled in tubes. Happy bidding to all!
