This RAD Leader Dagger is in great condition. The hilt is in a very nice state, showing a little wear to the plating on the pommel top.
The pommel features a noble eagle head looking to the left, with a fine brow and beak. There are accent lines simulating feathers on the reverse of the pommel.
The cross guard features the RAD spade set atop a pair of wheat stalks. The spade bears a raised swastika set on a background of horizontal lines. The quillon arms have finely curved ends. The reverse of the guard is plain.
The grip plates have a very nice, off-white colour. They are both in very fine condition, with no chips.
The scabbard has a nice patina, and in overall good condition. The upper obverse is decorated with curls and wheat stalks that do not touch. The lower area repeats the wheat stalk design. The pebbled panels are in good shape on both sides, The throat is retained by a pair of flat head screws.
The blade is very fine, with the usual Bowie-style tip and a thin fuller. This blade remains bright,. The obverse is etched "Arbeit Adelt", while the reverse bears the trademark of Carl Eickhorn

As seen on photos there is very minimal gap between the crossguard and wooden handle maybe 1mm.
I think this is acceptable for a 75year + original dagger.
