Authentic IJA WW2 Officer Katana "Shin Gunto" in combat mountings, Gendaito. The blade was forged between 1926-1945 (no date) by gendai smith Yoshikane ( Taniguchi or Fujita ) and signed: " Yoshikane". The blade has good WW 2 time polish and shows minor fine scratches and stains, but no nick , no crack, no forging flaws at all and cutting edge is very sharp, beautiful "togari/gunome" hamon with deep temper at the point.
