This is a genuine WW2 (WWll) Japanese Imperial Navy Officers Kai Gunto Landing Forces Sword complete with Scabbard and leather Combat Cover. The sword blade is Hand-forged and in excellent condition, with no nicks, rust or dents. The blade appears to have oil residue on it.
The scabbard is black lacquered with gilt fittings, the scabbard it described as very good with only a few age related marks. The blade fits perfectly in the scabbard. The leather Combat Cover fits well and can be dobe up using the poppers.
The sword handle is 10 inches, the Blade 26.5 inches and the scabbard 27.5 inches, the overall length of thevsword is 37.5 inches.
